This list of writing conferences features art directors and editors who are acquiring picture books, middle grade, and young adult books. It is intended to help those who are looking for opportunities to meet editors and hear in person what they would like to acquire and what they look for in a manuscript or portfolio. Many of these editors are from closed houses, but will accept manuscripts from conference attendees. Despite the title, these events are not all conferences; many are workshops or other events. Throughout the year, I will update this page as more organizations post their event information.

To make it easier for you to keep up with these events, I’ve added a Subscribe to Updates feature on my sidebars. Usually, these updates will go out on Tuesdays. I welcome updates and corrections! Please send me a note through my Contact page. Follow my tweets for more writing workshop info.

Check out the images on the right to see the editors and/or publishers for that book. Clicking on the image will take you to a page for that book.
