My favorite thing to do when I was eleven was to grab a book, climb a fruit tree and spend the afternoon reading and munching. Though I don’t climb trees as often now, I’m still secretly eleven inside and still love a good middle grade novel.

At the end of summer 2017, the peaceful bayou that ran behind the home where my family had lived for twenty years was inundated after the dam releases following Hurricane Harvey. Recovering from this disaster became a full-time job, and since I had no time to maintain it, this website was another casualty of the flood. Like many other things in my life, I expect my website will eventually recover but it won’t be the same as it was before.

I apologize to those of you who will miss the lists of writing conferences, workshops, and retreats, but I continue to wish my writing friends well and hope for the best in their careers.

Thank you to everyone who supported my site!
