Conference Updates & KidLit News Aug. 16

Crying catThis has been the shortest summer of my life. It seems we were at my boy’s high school graduation ten minutes ago, now he’s leaving for college. He’s not going far, so perhaps more than just during winter and spring breaks. I’ve been trying not to bawl all summer, but I’m a little like this cat I found on imgur.

But my critique group will be reconvening in two weeks, and I’ve got two local conferences to look forward to, so I’ll stop weeping soon and get back to work.

Well, maybe not stop completely. Sniff.

On to the book stuff!
