Murder By The Book
Sophie Jordan & Mary Lindsey, YA Authors
Sophie Jordan will celebrate the launch of her newest novel! In UNINVITED…
You can’t change your DNA . . . even when it says you’re a murderer. When Davy tests positive for Homicidal Tendency Syndrome, aka “the kill gene,” she loses everything. Once the perfect high school senior, she is uninvited from her prep school and abandoned by her friends and boyfriend. Even her parents are now afraid of her–although she’s never hurt a fly. Davy doesn’t feel any different, but genes don’t lie. One day she will kill someone.
Without any say in the matter, Davy is thrown into a special class for HTS carriers. She has no doubt the predictions are right about them, especially Sean, who already bears the “H” tattoo as proof of his violence. Yet when the world turns on the carriers, Sean is the only one she can trust. Maybe he’s not as dangerous as he seems. Or maybe Davy is just as deadly.
Sophie will be joined by her guest, Mary Lindsey who will sign and discuss her new novel, FRAGILE SPIRITS. Watch the trailer for UNINVITED!

Nancy Tillman, PB Author/Illustrator
In LET THERE BE LIGHT, Nancy Tillman, the New York Times bestselling illustrator and author of ON THE NIGHT YOU WERE BORN, and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu combine their extraordinary talents to retell the story of God’s glorious creation.
‘In the very beginning, God’s love bubbled over when there was nothing else—no trees, no birds, no animals, no sky, no sea—only darkness.’ This retelling of the biblical story of creation vividly portrays the wonder and beauty of God’s creation on each of the seven days. Using Archbishop Tutu’s lyrical text from the Children of God Storybook Bible and Tillman’s remarkable illustrations, LET THERE BE LIGHT brings the story of creation to life for readers young and old.

Mary Lindsey, YA Author
Mary Lindsey will discuss and sign her new novel for young adults, FRAGILE SPIRITS. In this story set in the world of Lindsey’s debut, SHATTERED SOULS, Paul has always known he was a Protector, fated to serve a Speaker who could hear the voices of spirits lingering after death and help those souls find peace. Vivienne never listens to the voices of the dead.
Paul has always followed the Protector’s rule book, preparing diligently for the day when he’d be matched with his Speaker and fulfill his destiny. Vivienne never does what she’s told. So when Paul is matched with Vivienne, they both find the pairing less than satisfactory. But a kidnapping, a malevolent spirit and a power stronger than both of them may just prove that they are two halves of the same whole.
